Well, I always personally advise against sharing personal info with people you meet over the internet. That said, if you still wish to do so, the only person that can see that person's PMs is that person, provided no one guesses his/her password.

Listen to Trublu, she knows what she's talking about! If you know the person in real life, sure! If you've met them over the net, be VERY careful, stranger danger and all that!

I would only say it's OK if you really know the person. I was a co-admin with someone for three years before we felt comfortable enough to trade cell phone numbers. That turned out great. I traded numbers with a member I'd known for a year after slipping what town I lived in and found out she lived there too. That turned out great too (we now hang out nearly every day). BUT I traded with someone that I'd known for a couple years and they turned into a stalker. They found out my address from it.
So... if you really feel comfortable and feel it's the right thing then go ahead. But my rule of thumb is: if you have to question if it's safe I wouldn't do it.
