I have a member that insists on arguing with every little thing I do.. It's not enough to ban him but it's very annoying.. anyone have any advice on what i should do about him?

Have you sent this member a PM explaining why you're taking whatever actions you are taking? While it shouldn't be something you have to do, it's something that goes the extra mile, and that's all you can do as admin. If the member still won't drop it, you may go onto issuing warnings, while clearly detailing what it was that got them the warning. If they don't heed your warnings, then that is a reason to ban. If you don't mind my asking, what kind of things is the member arguing over?

Yes, I have done those things...
My main problem with him is.. he keeps bringing up past members that left because of a disagreement that they had with me.
I talked to him yesterday and told him if he keeps bring drama into the forum then i'm going to have to ban him.. He started being really rude to myself and one of my co-admins.. I'm going to give him one more chance and if it happens again he will be banned.
Oh.. when I talked to him.. He told me to 'watch' out for hackers.. I cant do much about that.. other then heed his warning. What do you think i should do about that.

Proboards has yet to be hacked... there's a cash reward for anyone who can do it, so we'll know when it happens. The only way someone can get into your account is to guess your password, so I would change your password (your e-mail password as well) and read the tips here: safetynet.proboards.comPersonal problems are always tough because they may kind of fall into the rules, but may not entirely, but they cannot be ignored, either. I would tell the member that the dispute is between yourself and the other members, and that you do not wish to discuss it anymore on the board. I would say something related to your board, ie, that you'd like to focus on (the subject of your board). And leave it at that, saying that if they continue to cause trouble you will have to ask them to leave.

If you've warned him once or twice you should ban. Tough - but fair. You said you would and s/he kept it up so now you need to act on your threat. When you say they're being rude... are they actually attacking you? I feel there's NEVER a need to attack an admin and if you do so you deserve to be banned.
