Hope you found the information on this site useful. I would have loved to have this information available to me many years ago, when I got started in America. Lack of this information over the years cost me not only a lot of money I could have saved, but also cost me many-many hours in lost time, trying to figure things out by myself, doing things the wrong way.

When you get started in a country, in a different culture you will do mistakes. Some of them will be little things, like not knowing some customs and people will just frown upon you. Other things will hurt your budget, e.g. you will pay a lot more money for car insurance because you don't know what discounts you are entitled to, so you won't ask for discounts. Or you could have saved several hundreds of dollars in immigration fees if you would have been more informed on how to negotiate a better deal with your immigration attorney. These are just a few examples, but you probably heard this maxim before: "There ain't free lunch", which means you will pay the price for these mistakes, either in lost time, or money, or both.
