Q: What is a code?
A: A code is a bit of scripting that changes your forum in some way. There are basic codes, like HTML and CSS which change the appearance of your forum, all the way up to Javascript and PHP, which alter how things on your forum work.

Q: Where can I get codes? A: While we're trying to build a code index here, there is also one over at Proboards Support that has pretty much anything you'll ever need.

Q: Can you make me a code?
A: Not at this time. When we gain some members who can code, we will open up the board to code requests as well.

Q: Why isn't my code working?
A: First, make sure you read the directions that come with the code (with any code that you have to edit, there will be directions). If you are sure you have followed the directions (including placing it in the right spot in your header/footer) then make a new thread and we'll be happy to help you.

Q: Can I move or get rid of the ads? A: No. Moving or getting rid of the ads with codes (without ad-free) is against Proboards TOS and will get your board deleted. If you would like to get rid of the ads entirely, you may purchase credits from Proboards to do so. If you want to move the welcome table below the ads at the top (permissible) that may be done using this code here.

Q: Can I embed my forum on my website? A: No. Proboards is designed to break out of iframes, so it cannot be embedded. You can, however, link to your forum on your website, or look into Manual Domain Name Hosting.
